Why this page exists

Anyone can put “trusted” and “award-winning” on a website. Very few put the numbers that can be checked against a public register. These are ours.

If a number below is missing a verification link it is because the issuing body does not publish an online register, not because we would rather you did not look. In that case, ask us and we will send the certificate.

What each one means

  • Government registration. The company is registered with the Office of the Company Registrar and licensed by the Department of Tourism to operate trekking and tours in Nepal.
  • TAAN. Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal, the industry body. Membership requires a valid operating licence.
  • NMA. Nepal Mountaineering Association, which issues the permits for trekking peaks such as Island Peak and Lobuche East.
  • ISO certification. An audited quality-management standard, renewed on a cycle rather than granted once.
  • VAT and PAN. Tax registration. It is also how you know the taxes quoted in your price are actually being paid.
  • Bank guarantee. A refundable performance bond of NPR 500,000 held with Nepal Investment Mega Bank Ltd, Thamel Branch (Guarantee No. 057NPR18PB0199, current to October 2028), lodged with the Bagmati Province tourism office as a condition of our operating licence. You can check its authenticity at nimb.com.np/bankguarantee.

What we will not claim

We do not display awards without a public link where you can verify them, and we do not run our own review system. Our ratings live on Google and Tripadvisor where we cannot edit them.

A human answer before a booking form

Ask us something difficult.

Altitude. Lukla weather. Guide licensing. What the price excludes. Whether a route is realistic for your fitness. Start with the question you actually have.
