Founded on a trip he took, not a business plan
He did the trek himself first.
In 1995, long before Soulful Nepal Holidays existed, Suman Dahal reached Everest Base Camp on his own two feet. That trip is where the company comes from. More than three decades later, he still runs it today as Managing Director, and the person deciding who guides you and how your permits get filed is the same person who once needed a guide of his own.
He started the company for two kinds of people: guides who love these mountains enough to make a career of showing them to others, and travellers who have had a trek on their list for years and are finally ready to go. Read more about us.
