Overview
Pikey Peak is a quiet viewpoint in the Solu region. From the top you see Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and more than a dozen other peaks, and you share the view with a handful of people instead of hundreds.
The trail climbs through rhododendron and oak forest, passing Sherpa and Rai villages where families host trekkers in their homes. You eat dal bhat from the family kitchen and sleep warm. The altitude gain is steady, and the walking days are short, so the trek suits first-timers with some fitness.
It is a trek with Everest in view and Everest crowds out of view, good for domestic trekkers and for international guests who want a cultural, quiet alternative to the Base Camp route.
