Getting around Nepal
Nepal has good roads and bad roads and the difference matters more than distance. Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200 km and takes six to eight hours. Knowing that before you plan the day is most of the battle.
Everything below is private hire: your vehicle, your schedule, no other passengers.
What is included
- Vehicle, fuel and driver. Plus the driver’s own meals and accommodation on overnight journeys.
- Road tolls and parking. Included rather than collected on the day.
- Not included: your meals, entrance fees, and anything the driver cannot control such as a road closure or a strike.
