Kathmandu Valley Rim Tour

Your arrival in Kathmandu is the first day of the trip. We will welcome you at the arrival gate of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the trip hotel. You will have free time mostly on your own today. We will surely offer you necessary guidance on wandering around on your arrival time. We will also brief you about the entire adventure trip and answer your questions if you have any. Feel at comfort; relax and try to acclimate in the Nepalese atmosphere. Things may look and feel completely strange to you but that’s the beauty of a new place so find yourself at easy and slowly soak into the local ambience.

Kathmandu has a history of more than 2,000 years. We will take you for a tour of the historical, cultural and spiritual places in Kathmandu that are enlisted in the cultural heritage list. A guided visit to Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath will give you an understanding of the history, culture, spiritual practice and lifestyle of Kathmandu valley. It will be a good starter of the trip. After an insightful day of exploring the cultural and historical wonders of Kathmandu, we return back to hotel around late afternoon.

It is the first walking day of the trip. We drive to Sundarijal for about 45 minutes after breakfast to start the walk. The walk to Chisapani from Sundarijal is a 5-hour uphill challenge but beautiful and full of serene nature and village walk. We will enjoy the beautiful surroundings of nature. The mountains will show up once we reach Chisapani to stay overnight. We will have enough time to admire the beauty of the mountains and surroundings of Chisapani once we reach there.

On the second day of the walk, we will head for Nagarkot after a lovely morning and breakfast at Chisapani. The walk will take about 6 hours to reach Nagarkot, another wonderfully beautiful and peaceful hill station. We will walk through lush green forested area and local villages. We can enjoy spectacular view of the Himalayan range and amazing surroundings. Our walk for the day will be full of beautiful experiences.

It is the final day of walk today that takes us to Dhulikhel. We will walk through beautiful local villages and natural surroundings for about 6 hours to reach Dhulikhel. Once we finish the walk, there will be our vehicle to take us back to Kathmandu. We finish the walking adventure trip around the Kathmandu valley rim and return back to the city life of Kathmandu to spend our evening and overnight.

As the last day on this beautiful adventure trip, we will drive you to the airport for your departure flight as per your flight schedule. If this is not your departure day, the service for this trip ends here. If you have extra days to spend in Nepal and need any other assistance, please do let us know. We use 3 star hotels for the trip in Kathmandu. But you always have the option to upgrade the accommodation with additional cost. The accommodations will be on twin sharing basis. However, the accommodation in Chisapani will be a basic lodge and Nagarkot will be a hotel.

All the breakfasts are included in the accommodation in Kathmandu. For lunches and dinners, the places you travel to will have plenty of restaurants to choose to go. During the walking days, all your meals are included.

The walk around Kathmandu Valley Rim is an easy walk through beautiful nature. You will not go higher than 2100 meters above sea level during the walk. It is an easy and beautiful nature walk.
