- Altitude: Reaches 5,545 m. Not recommended for travellers with serious heart or respiratory conditions without medical clearance.

- Gear: Broken-in trekking boots, warm layers and a four-season sleeping bag essential. Full packing list sent on booking.
- Weather: Lukla flights can be delayed by weather; buffer days are built into private itineraries.
